DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY
On March 24, 2020, the Town issued a Declaration of Emergency. On March 30, 2020, April 6, 2020 and April 13, 2020, the Town renewed its Declaration of Emergency. Effective April 20, 2020, the Town of White Bluff, Tennessee hereby renews its Declaration of Emergency and adds to the previous Declaration as follows:
On April 17, 2020, Governor Lee issued Executive Order 28 amending Executive Order 15 and taking other necessary measures to facilitate the treatment and containment of covid-19.
I want the citizens of White Bluff to specifically be aware of and adhere to the Governor’s Executive Order 27, which still requires all persons in Tennessee to stay at home, except for when engaging in Essential Activities or Essential Services as defined in the Order, and to continue to engage in social distancing.
I encourage everyone to read the entirety of the Executive Orders, which can be found at sos.tn.gov. Our priority is to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our community.
The power granted to municipal mayors and their governing bodies by the state legislature is limited in circumstances of this nature, but we continue to communicate and work with Dickson County and various state agencies to control and treat the spread of the virus in our community. This declaration will be reviewed and evaluated for modification as necessary.
We will get through this.
Mayor Linda Hayes
